India’s Eclipse Ecosystem Unplugged
Eclipse is no longer open source’s best-kept secret. It has come out of the closet, and how! Now at a crossroad in its evolution, the ecosystem’s footprint is broadening to encompass a larger spectrum of offerings for software developers in areas such as modeling, embedded, mobile, RIA and Ajax, SOA and dynamic languages. Eclipse India Summit™ (ESI), Asia’s first and annual Eclipse-only show, will feature all that you need to know as a developer using Eclipse-based tools and technologies.
One of the largest user bases for Eclipse in the world, the Indian ecosystem of software/tool developers and technology companies are benefiting from quick time-to-market and standardised user experiences by building their tools using Eclipse technology. Here are some tips to help you out:
For information on information and pricing and to sign up, please click here.
- We're serious about learning -- although all our conferences include generous heaps of after hours and downtime, we are serious about providing a well-balanced learning experience that virtually guarantees you will go back home with a richer understanding of the changes affecting business and the strategic IT tools for confronting this reality effectively.
- Explore and exchange knowledge on Eclipse Technologies and Projects -- you'll get four days of continuing education, indispensable knowledge and tactics on everything from utilising new Eclipse technologies and enabling innovation, while getting the most from your IT budget to improving client relations--this is the stuff you don't learn in school. Then you can take your new knowledge back to the office and hold a training session for your co-workers.
- Expand your network of international experts and technology leaders -- networking luncheons, time in the expo hallways, breaks between sessions, receptions -- every minute you're not in a session is an ideal opportunity to meet Eclipse technologists, committers, and authorities representing the entire value-chain and ecosystem of the Eclipse marketplace, not to mention meeting some of the creators, luminaries, community heroes, and best speakers and experts from around the world. The summit will give you opportunities to forge new relationships with those who are driving this important movement forward. You will return to the office with information on the industry’s most important subjects plus contact information for a variety of vendors who can help you solve future developmental problems. (These contacts could prove indispensable to your colleagues, too.)

- Be inspired -- you'll be inspired by some of the top experts in the Eclipse ecosystem -- and if you bring back just one valuable idea, the summit will be worth it.
- Do you have clients / vendors in Bangalore? -- offer to call on clients or potential clients in the Bangalore area and present your firm's work. Or volunteer to meet with vendors while you're in town.
- Great bargain -- if you consider that a four-day instructor-led course on Eclipse technologies can cost upwards of INR 30,000, Eclipse India Summit offers great value by exposing you to new and diverse technologies and techniques that will help you in your daily work. With four tracks, 80 plus sessions, workshops and panel discussions and an exposition of leading companies from the Eclipse ecosystem, Eclipse India Summit is a bargain. It's content you won't find anywhere else.

Conference Chair
The job of the conference chair is to put together a program that attracts and informs the attendees. Many submissions in a category indicate a lot of interest in presenting on a particular topic, not necessarily a lot of interest in hearing about a topic. In the end, therefore, the conference is for the attendees, not the presenters. Thus the program chair will, in an effort to create a balanced and exciting program, arrange for speakers to present on particular topics. That is their job.

Advisory Board
This is a committee of distinguished executives, seasoned industry professionals, and academia whose expertise spans the entire Eclipse ecosystem. They will assist the program chair to ensure the quality of the content provided to attendees is high-level, relevant, and timely. Their dedication is critical to the success of the summit. The summit committee would like to thank them for their service to this conference.
